Log Burners
In addition to the heating in the farmhouse, there are also 2 log burners in the downstairs rooms, and instructions for their use can be found next to them. Please follow these instructions carefully and only use wood for burning.
Electrical appliances
The cottage is well-equipped with hairdryers in all of the bedrooms, as well as a TV with DVD player, CD player, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, microwave oven, kettle, and toaster.
Age of the cottage
East Catholes is a traditional stone farmhouse and is very old. Indeed, part of it dates back to the 1300s.
You may have the opportunity to see a few bats flying around the cottage, these beautiful creatures enjoy old properties and are a protected species. Please don’t be alarmed, as they will not bother you.

Land belonging to the cottage
The house has a garden with a barbeque and there is private parking.
The property includes 12 acres. This comprises the field immediately behind the house (rising land towards the lane accessing the golf club and property; the field down a short path on the right of the house to the river (upstream); and the large riverside field there.
Cleaning is carried out to a high standard to keep guests safe
Plenty of sanitiser is also available. Our cleaning at changeovers has always been carried out to a high standard, and conducted by a professional firm. They use disinfectant and ensure the cleaning of touch points throughout the property.
